How do you write a biography when you are only 25 years old?  I suppose you just write about what God has shown you so far and what you know so far.  I am Jane, born and raised in the Philadelphia area.  I'm the middle of three with an older brother and a younger sister.  Currently, I work in Camden, NJ and run an inner city tree planting program.  I went to the University of Michigan, studied Soc and Psych.  But, even before that I guess I had this strange curiosity and fascination with the world and the people in it.  I've always been very curious about people and their lives and why they do what they do and I guess generally just curious about how different God makes people.  In addition to that, I have a restless spirit.  Its hard for me to stay in one place for too long to be doing the same thing for too long, etc.  I've travelled a little and always felt this impulsive itch to go and do something.  I never imagined that would be doing the World Race.  and may I stress never. 

I had never felt called to missions even remotely.  I had gone on several missions trips in highschool that left me jaded about the purpose and effectiveness of missions.  But after a trip to New Orleans to help rebuild homes after Hurricane Katrina and a trip to the Dominican Republic with the youth group that I am serving with, He silenced me and wowed me.  And, He put missions on my heart just like that.  It astounds me that He doesn't need us, but He wants us.  How crazy does that sound?  But that's His love for us.  It doesn't make logical sense in any way, and how crazy that its real and it is ours because of Christ. 

During my time in and since college, I found myself working and volunteering in the projects, in the inner city, in the Rockies, in soup kitchens, and in domestic violence shelters.  Through a lot of doors that God has opened, He's given me a burden for injustice and helping the hurting.  Outside of that, I just love love love to be outdoors in any way shape or form.  I see God's character in nature, I understand how He is in control of everything big and small when I see the sun shining through the clouds.  Some random facts about me: I like playing sports, green is my favorite color, Goonies is my favorite movie, I love Shel Silverstien books, I like starting books, I hate finishing them, I like to snowboard, I love anything with mint in it.
